Artist in Residence

With each change of menu Pendant asks local artists to add intrigue and playfulness to the pages. During this period the artist’s original pieces are also hung in gallery windows for viewing from the street, and for sale over the bar. Current artist in residence for our late Spring/early Summer menu is Hannah Grant.

Mostly a bartender, sometimes an illustrator, occasionally a photographer. Hailing from the North-East of England, Hannah’s work celebrates the best life has to offer —pals, pubs, pets, and pots.

Her collection takes a wistful view of a summer that never was, or perhaps always has been. Long afternoons in the park with your best bud, cold beers, the buzz of a local hedgerow, and the taste of a toffee apple.

Oh, and the best bar in the world, of course.
